Melanin Child Stories is an inclusive bookshop specialised in children's and adult books that are underrepresented in this society. MCS exists ,aims to support diverse authors. Our journey started through a pop-up shop hosted by SASBS Events, who were willing to support Small Business. Thanks to the amazing response and encouragement from the community, Melanin Child Stories kept on growing.

Please join us for an inspiring showcase of carefully selected black businesses in October 2025. This is an indoor, face-to-face event that supports emerging entrepreneurs & new black businesses of African & Caribbean descent with retail opportunities.
Our next event taking place over two days in the heart of Brixton offers a diverse, quality shopping and cultural experience celebrating producers of the African & Caribbean community.
